Areas Of Practice

Sabrina Tann is an attorney with over twenty years of litigation experience specializing in family and matrimonial law. Her practice focuses on providing competent, effective and affordable legal representation to clients in actions that include, but are not limited to: divorce, custody, visitation, guardianship, paternity, child support, adoptions and family offense proceedings. 

Ms. Tann graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga with a B.A. in English and received her J.D. from New York University School of Law. She started her legal career as a litigation associate at a large NY law firm. Thereafter, Ms. Tann embarked on a career in public service. She served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department, where she defended the City in federal litigation. Next, Ms. Tann served as a public defender in New York Family Courts representing indigent parents in a high volume practice that involved allegations of child neglect and abuse and ancillary matters arising therefrom, including paternity, child support, custody and visitation, guardianship, and adoption proceedings. As a public defender, Ms. Tann found her calling in family law. Subsequently, Ms. Tann served as Of Counsel at District Counsel 37, where she represented hundreds of members of New York City's largest municipal union in divorce and family law actions from inception to conclusion. 

In recognition of her expertise, Ms. Tann was appointed to the 18B and Attorney for the Children Panel in the First Department Appellate Division. Ms. Tann was appointed Special Master to the Honorable Leslie Stroth, acting Supreme Court Justice, New York County.
